Laptop & Projector Reimbursement Program
The Laptop & Projector Reimbursement Program allows companies/departments to improve and enhance their fire prevention presentations. Computer applications can be run showing videos and graphics that will provide more impact than just a lecture alone. This program will encourage companies/departments to build a stronger fire prevention committee, allowing them to achieve a greater impact to their audience of children and adults.

Those requesting reimbursement must have an established fire prevention program in place. This includes having a chairperson for their fire prevention and public education committee, and has performed no less than 15 fire prevention programs per year over a period of no less than 2 years.

The reimbursement of funds will be pursuant to the rules and guidelines set forth by the Life Safety Committe. Once a purchase has been deemed eligible under the rules, the reimbursement will be made over a period of two years. The program allows for a maximum reimbursemtnt of $600.00 for laptops and $400 for projectors.

The reimbursement amount will be divided in half and paid over a two year period, as long as the recieving company/department continues to meet the eligibility requirements of an established fire prevention program during those two years. Additionally, the company/department must meet the requirement of performing a fire prevention presentation for the Life Safety Committee during those two years.

Failure to comply with the rules and guidelines or failure to continue to meet the requirements of an established fire prevention program will result in the company paying back any reimbursed amounts. Participating companies will sign a contract with the Life Safety Committee agreeing to the rules and guidelines. Anyone recieving a reimbursement under this program must wait a minimum of 3 years from the date of their first payment before they can apply for another reimbursement of the same type of equipment.
