Kennard is currently a member of the Odessa Fire Company.
Kennard "Ken" Pyle has served as the Financial Secretary, Director and President of the Odessa Fire Company. He is a past President of the New Castle County Volunteer Firefighter's Association. He was elected to the Delaware Volunteer Firefighter's Association Hall of Fame.
