Granville T. White
Granville was a member of the Laurel Fire Department.

Granville T. White served the Laurel Fire Department as Fire Recorder, Ambulance Captain and Fire Chief. He was also a 22 year member of the Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Company and an honorary member of the Farmington, Ellendale and Millville Fire Companies. Mr. White had also served as President of the Delaware State Fire Chief's Association, the DelMarVa Firemen's Association and was a former vice chairman of the Delaware Fire Prevention Commission. Granville T. White was inducted into the DVFA and Delmarva Firemen's Hall of Fame, respectively. He was awarded the Delaware State Fire School Lifetime Instructor Award and was the Fire Marshal at the Dupont Company in Seaford prior to his retirement. Mr. White was a member of the Scottish Rite 32nd Degree Valley and Nur Temple, both in Wilmington. He was 83 years of age. Predeceased by his first wife Pauline G. White, he was survived by his second wife, Virginia R., son Granville W., daughter Grace J. Venables; stepson Lewis G. Ray; stepdaughter Phyllis A. Mitchell; eight grandchildren, two step grandchildren and five step-great grandchildren. Granville T. White was laid to rest in the Odd Fellows Cemetery, Laurel, Delaware.
