Charles L. Jones, aged 51, Fire Chief of the Elsmere Fire Company and sitting President of the Delaware Volunteer Firefighter’s Association died from a heart attack the morning after a fire in Bear, Delaware where a family of 5 had perished. Mr. Jones was serving his 28th consecutive year as Chief of the Elsmere Fire Company. He was survived by his wife Ella and his mother, Ms. Katie Jones.
