Celebrating America's 250th Anniversary, the City of Dover in partnership with the Delaware Volunteer Firefighter's Association on May 30, 2026. Food Trucks, Antique Fire Display, Firefighter's Parade, Memorial Service, Citizens' Hose Co Band Concert, Military Flyover and Fireworks at dusk. Free and open to the public.

The City of Dover in partnership with the Delaware Volunteer Firefighter’s Association is sponsoring a day of celebration of the 250th birthday of the USA.
- 10am – 6pm Food Trucks (Legislative Mall)
- 11am – 3pm Antique Fire display (Legislative Mall)
- 5pm Firefighter’s Parade
- 6:30pm Memorial Service (Firefighters Memorial, Legislative Mall)
- 7pm Citizen’s Hose Co. of Smyrna Concert (Legislative Mall, Stage)
- Dusk Fly Over of military aircraft from Dover AFB
- Dark Fireworks
The event is free and open to the public.
